What does a website cost?

The honest answer is “it depends” — but what it depends on can be named. Click through and in two minutes you have a price range instead of an “on request”. Calculated with the prices we actually work at.

An estimate, not a quote. The fixed price is put in writing after a free call — in practice within this range.

    What it really depends on

Five factors set the price. The rest is negotiation.

Anyone who says “it depends” and then won’t say on what usually doesn’t want to talk about money. Here is the list.

    Number of pages

The biggest lever. Five pages is a standard website. Twenty is a different project — more structure, more copy, more coordination.

    Who writes the copy

The most underestimated line item. Writing copy that sells often takes longer than the design. Provide it yourself and you save noticeably.

    Where the images come from

Your own photos cost nothing extra. A curated stock selection costs time. A shoot costs money — but looks like you rather than like a database.

    Number of languages

A second language does not double the price, but it does double the content, the upkeep and the places things can go wrong. Budget roughly a third on top.

    Functionality beyond text

Appointment booking, member login, shop integration, newsletter. Every function is its own small piece of software with its own failure modes.

    What comes afterwards

Hosting and care cost €39 a month: hosting, SSL, backups, maintenance and small changes. Not compulsory — but a website nobody touches for two years becomes a security risk.

Rather talk it through than click?

    The market in numbers

    Builder, freelancer or agency?

All three can be right. It depends on whether your scarcest resource is money or time.

    Build it yourself

    • →€0 to €30 a month. Wix, Squarespace, Jimdo.
    • →You pay in time: 20 to 60 hours is normal for a first attempt.
    • →Sensible if the site is meant to be a digital business card.
    • →Gets expensive when enquiries don’t come and nobody can say why.

    Have it built

    • ✓Freelancer: €800 to €3,000. One person, direct line, variable quality.
    • ✓Traditional agency: from €5,000, often billed by the hour.
    • ✓Us: from €990 at a fixed price, in 2 to 3 weeks, one point of contact.
    • ✓Sensible if the site is meant to bring enquiries rather than just exist.

    Frequently asked

What people want to know before the first call.

    What does a website cost?

A professional website with up to five pages starts at €1,490 one-off, a single landing page at €990. With copywriting, photography and extra functionality the range is typically €990 to €4,500. Online shops start at €1,500 and multi-step funnels at €2,000.

Why don’t agencies state a price?

Because scope varies a lot — and because a price is easier to defend in conversation than on a page. The factors can be named though: number of pages, who writes the copy, where images come from, how many languages, which functions. This tool works through exactly those.

What does a website cost per month?

€39 a month for hosting and care: server hosting, SSL certificate, daily backups, maintenance and small changes — new text, new images, new dates. An ongoing SEO retainer starts at €500 and is optional. None of it is compulsory, you get every credential and can move away whenever you like.

    Is the result binding?

No, it is an estimate based on real project prices. The binding fixed price is put in writing after the free call. In practice it falls inside the range shown — and if it doesn’t, we say why beforehand.

    How long does it take?

Two to three weeks for a website of up to five pages. Four to six weeks for a funnel. The most common cause of delay is missing copy and images — which is why the calculator asks about them.

    Are there hidden costs?

No. All prices are ex. VAT. The domain runs through your own account so you stay the owner — the usual €10 to €20 a year, which does not come to us. What is in the quote is what is on the invoice.

An estimate from the calculator. A binding one within 24 hours.
